Free Childcare for 2 Year Olds

 

Laroche Day Nursery is in a unique position of being able to offer 2-year-olds free care, 15 hours per week.


We have a range of sessions subject to availability
3 morning sessions  7.45 – 12.45   
3 afternoon sessions 12.45 – 17.45
1 full day and 1 half day
School day 9.30 – 14.30 (limited spaces available)
Stretched for 51 weeks out of the year ( please ask for more details) 

 

Depending on when your child is in nursery a.m/p.m session there is a small charge 
Lunch cost £2.50   Tea cost £1.50    per day
These charges include morning or afternoon snacks
Drinking water is provided continuously throughout the day

To get this you must be getting one of the following:
•    Income Support
•    income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA)
•    income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
•    support through part 6 of the Immigration and Asylum Act
•    tax credits and have an annual income under £16,190 before tax
•    the guaranteed element of State Pension Credit
•    the Working Tax Credit 4-week run on (the payment you get when        you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit)
•    Universal Credit

Children are also entitled to a place if:
•    they’re looked after by a local council
•    they have a current statement of special education needs (SEN) or      an education health and care plan
•    they get Disability Living Allowance
•    they’ve left care under a special guardianship order, child                        arrangements order or adoption order

If your child is eligible, you can start claiming after they turn 2. The date you can claim will depend on when their birthday is.

Child's birthday When you can claim
1 January to 31 March the beginning of term on or after 1 April
1 April to 31 August the beginning of term on or after 1 September
1 September to 31 December the beginning of term on or after 1 January

*Please remember the earlier you register your child the better, free 2 year old places are limited.

 

Whilst we'd like to offer free care to all 2 year old children, we are obliged to limit it to only parents/carers who meet the above criteria.
